Ask for the reason it was traded in, if they get evasive run away.
Otherwise, make the deal contingent upon an independent inspection then get a mobile tech to check out the trailer for a couple hundred dollars. Make sure they have power and water available and the tech runs every system.
The odds of missing a $3k problem is really slim.
Also, read some of the threads about people buying new and having warranty issues. Most brand new trailers have plenty and more often than not, they fix warranty stuff when they get around to it (cash customers typically go to the head of the line because they have th option to go elsewhere).
