We live in Anacortes, but have not taken our RV to San Juan Island. It is a great destination. I walked through Lakeview? RV Park. It seemed nice, but not quite "Glamping" as they advertise. San Juan County Park is nice, but I'm not sure of it's RV capabilities. I'll do some more research.
Thanks! I've been thinking about dropping the camper at Anacortes and then renting a house for a few days on the island. - amandasgrammaExplorerWe were talking to some Canadians this week about this same thing. They said our 34 ft rig will probably cost us $250. EACH WAY!!!!!!!
- rbrandExplorerA few years ago we took our Class "C" from Sidney to Anacortes. Stopping at every island for a night or two. So what would have been a 3-4 hour ferry ride took us over a week. We spent 3 days on San Juan and really enjoyed it.
I'm not sure if it is the same now. But then there was no extra fare for heading East. So we could visit each island at no extra cost. - Pangaea_RonExplorerWe live in Anacortes, but have not taken our RV to San Juan Island. It is a great destination. I walked through Lakeview? RV Park. - donn0128Explorer IIBring lots of money. The ferry ridenis expensive. Have you considered staying in Anacortes. Several decent parks near the ferry terminal. Then either walk on to the islands or take your car over.
