sawdust keeps showing up

New TT 3 months old. We noticed line of sawdust on bedside table when new, thought it was just left of from construction. Now, we keep seeing a nice line of sawdust every time we drive somewhere. I'm concerned this could be some kind of wood boring bug. Any ideas on how to tell what's causing this. If bugs, how can I get rid of or should I bring to dealer to check out? Have another trip in 3 weeks and had planned on bringing to dealer for other small issues after that trip.

  • ours drops saw dust from 1 location almost constantly. we are going on season 3 with the TT now, and it's starting to finally diminish, however, still there.
  • We bought our trailer in October of last year. Three weeks ago when we went camping it was the first time we needed to use the air conditioner. Now,we have 10 trips down before this but no A/C. There was sawdust blowing out of ever A/C vent for almost three hours! It was all over everything. I spent a good hour dusting and wiping down.
  • Construction debris.

We had metal shavings in ours for a couple years until I removed the refrigerator and cleaned out the compartment. The compartment was full of metal shavings and saw dust.
  • Vacuum cleaner, brooms, brushes...........none existent at factory.

Workers paid 'piece mill' to install..no time/pay for cleaning up

Wood bugs don't leave sawdust behind. They leave wood poop :B

Look up above the table, is there a cabinet dropping the dust

Yes, there's a cabinet above. Sawdust only at this one point, falling from upper cabinet at point where cabinet meets front wall of camper. I've never seen anything like this in any camper I've owned so not sure what to make of it. Not a huge amount but enough to notice easily. Being new, it could simply be leftover construction dust but concerned about the consistency and amount.
  • My last TT dropped sawdust on us for 20 years. The present one constantly gets it in the light fixtures even after 10 years!
If you we're to remove a ceiling fixture or vent surround that leaves a hole big enough to get your had up on top of the ceiling, you will find an amazing amount of sawdust left over from the manufacturing process. There's so much that it just keeps working its way out.
