Chocks are designed to keep the wheels from rolling. Those little plastic one do a fine job, even if you drive over them a couple of times.
They may not hold a a Boeing 747 but they do just fine with a 25 ft Dutchmen.
Parking on a slope certainly requires a bit of extra attention.
