Screw it on and put mirror clips or small flat wing nuts on the screws. Twist the clip or wing nut and take the plexi right out.

X2 -- did this over 7 yrs ago and we are full-timers and the lexan is still looking good. Also we have added decals of places we have been on the lexan .. double duty that way .. not only keeps dust off, dog from scratch screen, but also add removable memories of decals on something which can be taken off and new lexan put on. Some people have put American states decals on the lexan also.

We have two panes of Plexi on both TT doors. We leave the lower one on all the time because of the cats. The upper is removed in nice weather. We also plan to get two pieces for the door on the Class-C. We use Velcro to attach it to the screendoor frame.
  • I would use Lexan (polycarbonate). A bit more expensive but will not chip or crack like acrylic (plexiglass). Besides protecting the bottom screen from kids and critters, it gives the option of keeping the solid door open with the AC or furnace on allowing more light and more visibility in hot or cold weather. I also used Velcro so it is easy to remove when desired.

  • I put plexiglass on the lower half as our two dogs kept ripping out the screen. Just used some velcro to attach it to the screen door. Worked like a charm.
