not only would i not leave the tent ends open, i wouldn't choose a hybrid or popup for a seasonal site.
i think that a TT or 5th wheel makes way more sense for a seasonal site.
if you must use one, close up the tent ends and get a RV cover for it, like an Adco one. doesn't take that long to put one on or take off.
