Several years ago we did this. Had the TT in the same park in the same space May 1st through Labor Day. 50 miles from the S&B. I was fortunate to have most of the summer away from my job and DH commuted a lot...but had some week long stretches and many 4 day weekends. Our kids loved it.
It was still close enough for friends and relatives to drive up and spend the day enjoying the lake or fishing or celebrating a birthday. My kids still say it was some of the best summers of their lives.
