Seating Options

Just took delivery of my F450, regular cab. I love it, a 19' long truck that can carry any camper I throw on it. Now the serious TC search begins.

In the triple slides, Host has the option of a high low table with sofa that replaces the dinette, and Eagle Cap has theater seating with an attachable table that can also replace the dinette. I struggle with this. It seems it would be nice to face the DW while eating or playing games, and also have the window at your side rather than behind you. But having more comfortable seating that faces inward also seems nice. It is difficult to decide without getting out there and actually living with the two scenarios.

Does anyone have any opinions or regrets with respect to this?

  • Nice problem to have deciding what to do with the “extra” seating position.

If you want to look at other floorplans in big TCs, I’d look at older Hosts including the Everest.

  • We went with the Host Mammoth with the sofa/table. Sitting next to each other as opposed to opposite has been fine. DW likes the sofa for laying on when reading or watching TV. I relax in the rear slide. I would have proffered the dinette but DW wanted the couch. So the couch it was.

You might like the Host Cascade with theater seating and an L shaped dinette where you can sit more opposed to each other.
