I bought a 4 year warranty package to fix thing that were not likely to fail. I was thinking of the refrigerator, air conditioner, power converter, hot water heater or etc. Basically they are things I cannot repair myself.
I was not expecting them to cover items that were dependent on owner maintenance, like roof seals, tires, frozen pipes and such. They have too much wiggle room here.
I also have it insured for replacement value not depreciated value, just in case I cannot keep it between the ditches. After four years it is an old unit and I will re-assess what is still worth insuring and for how much.
No matter how you look at it and RV is an expendable plaything, not a sound investment goal.
