1. The 25-30 year warranty provided on your roof will never be used. The warranty is on the product but if it were to crack or seperate they will claim you did not service it properly or that it was caused by moving the camper around. A service person at a large dealership told me she has never had a roof warranty accepted in 20 years of service.

2. Extended warranties are almost useless. Yes if your slide motor or fridge goes out your covered. How often does that happen? if it does it will in the 1st year normally. It does not cover water damage, any seperation like cabinets or panels it covers almost nothing that will actually break. The dealer also told me that extended warranties are basically a scam. Her words not mine.

3. You only receive a 1 year manufacterer warranty on travel trailers. You get 3 years on a car. Think about it. Why only 1 year you ask? Because it usually takes more than that for water damage to show enough for you to notice. At that point they are not responsible.

Unfortunately i learned this the hard way $4,000 in repairs due to water damage caused by a defective window. Now out of warranty. 2013 Coachman Catalina.

This is only a news flash for NEWBIES those of us who have had an RV for more than a week already know this.

The only difference between being robbed at gun point on the stret and buying an RV is that the lambs not only go willingly to the slaughter they actually seek out the shepard to sheer them.
