Exactly. For 2016 I'm intent on simplifying our camping process in whatever ways I can so painful as it may be I've decided to sell my Honda EU2000i genset as I just don't use it as much as I thought might be the case BUT I'm sure not giving it away and will price it accordingly. No doubt some will consider my asking price excessive but that's fine by me as the Honda EU2000i is arguably the most sought after genset out there - I know it, prospective buyers know it, and all it takes is one interested party to make the sale. I could care less whether it sells tomorrow or months from now but when it does the lucky new owner will pay my asking price ... or go away. ;)
I buy my guitar, guns, RVs at the price I want to pay. Either you sell it to me at that price or you do not.
Exactly. If I want something badly enough I'll pay for it, if not I'll pass until something else comes along ... and guess what, my life won't end just because of it. ;)
There is nothing mystical here. A fare price is what both parties agree on. Why they agree on that price has little to do with it.
Exactly. We live in a free market so why anyone would take offense to any advertised asking price is a mystery :h ... it is what it is, if you don't like it, pass and look for something else that you consider a "fair deal". Doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks, just you and the seller, no one else. :D
What I find most interesting is that those who are the first to complain about someone else' asking price are also often those who in a reversed role wouldn't hesitate for a moment to excessively price something they themselves want to sell. :S
