I have been looking at replacements for the Bounder and when my wife stated that she wanted something under ten years old and preferably around 5 years old, I started looking at newer rigs.
I found out that, yes folks feel that their rig is worth every penny they paid for it, seemingly close to MSRP and that many of them are still paying off a 15 or 20 year loan with a high balance. When I make what I feel is a reasonable offer, the most common reply is "I owe more than that on it".
Two years ago we looked at the Winnie Via at the Pomona RV Show, on the first day it was $96,000, that night I looked up used ones, many were priced higher than the show price which was approximately 25% below MSRP. PPL had one listed for $110,000 on consignment.
Just my $20.00 worth($0.02 adjusted for inflation).
