I'm usually always the one rushing into something, not doing my homework, and ending up paying way too much. But our fifth wheel bought off of Craigslist ended up being one of the best buys I ever made. Owned by a lady who bought it and had it towed to a seasonal site at a local campground, used it for two seasons and unloaded it. Had never been down the road and was in perfect shape.
Probably paid half what she paid and after seven years of owning it I couldn't be happier. We probably spent a month negotiating and deciding whether this was the right rig because it was one of the first we looked at and thought maybe we didn't look around enough at other options. It needed a phone call from the seller to tell us there was another interested party to finally get us off our butts to buy it.
