Hunt, I buy on the net all the time; the two eu2000's were bought on line 5 years ago. However there are a lot that are not proficient, nor comfortable, buying on line. So, please tell me, what is your point?????
"As far as the comments on the $900 ~ $1000 for the Honda EU2000i, that would be for the basic gen set. The EU2000i Companion (w/30 amp plug) retails for $1250. You may find it on sale for ~$1100, but then you pay tax locally, and/or shipping if you buy on line"
AND
"So, the prices you found for the two gen sets are close to what I posted. And if you buy locally, and unless you live in one of the 5 states that don't have sales tax, you WILL pay sales tax, ~$85.00 for Texas. At about 50 pounds, free shipping is is a fortunate find."
And then state that you did just the opposite when you puchased a Champion?
"I just bought the new Champion 3100i with remote/electric start and think I will love it. I've started it and ran it to break it in a little, and it started at the push of a button. I hooked up the trailer (in the garage) and turned on the AC, and it was barely noticeable. On sale, delivered, no tax, for $899 was/is a great deal"
Are Champion online purchases somehow different than Honda online purchases?
I didn't get that memo.
