Hello need some help finding out how much to sell my 2005 Aero cub 23 http for. The value with options is around 10,000 HOWEVER there is big items that need replaced. Was in storage for 2 years and when we pulled it out this year found 2 of the 3 beds have leak. Its at the corners where it folds the metal no longer meets together and is allowing water in. So the bottom part of the beds that fold up need replaced. Canvas is good on one and the other will need replaced. The third bunk is perfect. Also a small part of the floor where there is a seam is sagging- been like that since we bought it hubby thinks it has no real supports there and does not think water damage but eill be chrecking further on that which on a 9 yr old hybrid if its water damage I imagine it would've fell through long ago . Everything else in good working order. We have no time to fix anything so we are either trading in or selling. How do I know a good price? I do not want to rip anyone off by overcharging but hate to undersell just because I don't think its worth it. If we do sell everything would obviously be disclosed as I could not do that to someone. Any advice?

Hmmmm, we bought a 2004 hybrid last year for $7000 and everything was in perfect condition, solar added, LED lights, dual batteries. I would think that I would't pay more then $1500 (or less) for one with that much damage and that would be if everythign else was in absolute working condition....

Condition, condition, condition... $1500 is not bad for a SWAG, but I've seen people trying to sell rigs that were so badly damaged that, honestly, they were only worth scrap

Thank you. Yes I used NADA for lenders at work . I work with loans so I'm pretty fluent on camper values standard options etc however I have never come across a damaged one so don't even know where to begin! Lol. However I know the beds can be fixed for around 200.00 ( not counting canvas) as a weekend job ( my friends had to redo theirs) so someone who really had the time could get it very cheap but I don't know how cheap my big concern is charging too much.

I have another dealer offering pretty similar about 1000 difference but they're 45 minutes away compared to 5 hours away. So I think we'll take it! That's 17500.00 with the trade. Msrp 30991.00 I think that's pretty good! I am thrilled!

Very nice! $16,500 after trade for a 2014 sounds like a great price to me. Way to go!

Msrp is 30980 they had them listed for 21900 got it down to 18500 before trade in and I'm not done yet. 2014 shadow cruiser 280 qbs with the mega lounger. Going to see if they'll come down another 500 or throw in equalizer since they want 699 for it and charging me 250 doc fees when I've got my own financing.

Dealer offered me 2000.00 for it. Said it wasn't quite as bad as I think it is. That's after I negotiated my new camper price! They didn't know I had a trade in during price negotiations. So I'm taking the trade. Feel much better than selling it to someone I know and worrying about whether they feel they got a good deal and having that on my conscience. My opinion was worth 500-1000 so happy with the deal! Thank you everyone for your input!!!

We've had a few friends ask how much we're asking. They could not afford to buy one otherwise however they're very handy and they could fix it themselves. But still do not want to ask too much. Sent to a dealership to have it appraised. That way we know we're not gouging someone and they'll know exactly what damage their looking at.

Yes I agree. I have bought two pop-ups in the past cheap that I fixed up and used them for years. They where not anything special just cheap campers for a DIY'r like myself. Look at these kids that spend lots of money to trick their Honda civic. After all that money spent its still just a Honda civic but they like it and are proud of it.

People only want a project if it is something unique. This one is not.

Being unique or worth a whole lot of money restored RV, is not what is on everyone's mind that is looking for an RV that needs work and is priced accordingly.

There are many campers out there that have bought a used RV that needed work and did the work themselves to bring it back to life and ended up with a very nice RV to take their family camping.

People only want a project if it is something unique. This one is not. Like you say, you wouldn't buy it. Ask 17 or 1800 take what you can get, at this point it is worth nothing to you.
