The owners will have to write that group off as part of the cost if smoking and do as good a cleaning job as they can; then sell it for what they can get for it.
It makes little sense to try try to hide the fact that smokers owned the TT if the potential buyer is concerned about it.
X2....a smoker might love it at the right price....my wife wouldn't come near it with a 10 foot pole. Mitigation is good though, febreeze is amazing, chemically designed to remove odors. Worked so well they had to add scent so people could smell the clean, rather than just not smelling the nasty odors.
