Sensor hole plugs?

So after a few seasons of unreliable sensors I decided to put in some Hoist sensors along with a internal tank sprayer (quicky rinse). I had issues trying to remove the first old sensor, so I decided just to drill new holes and move the wiring. I've got two done, but having some difficulty getting the nuts off the old sensors as the whole thing spins.

I guess my question is, do they make plugs of any sort to replace old sensor holes? I plan to leave the old sensors in, but if I have to yank out the old one, I'd like to be able to plug the hole obviously lol.

why not just cut the wire and use a piece of jumper wire?

thats what I plan to do. But I've got one sensor now that just rotates freely. I'm worried about it leaking as I can't get the nut tightened down.
  • I assume this is on the black tank, is it the top sensor or the bottom? how often will it be submerged? fill tank with water and see if it leaks?

  • Its the bottom one. I plan to do a leak test. my worry is its fine now, but after driving to a camp site or whatever, it comes loose again. Maybe some jb weld or something on it to hold it in good?

Another sensor will fill and seal the hole.

since it just spins in the hole, might be hard to remove?

  • I had to punch my old sensors into the tank and flush them out at the dump site. Been several years so I don't recall much more than I needed a thin wrench to grasp the nut closest to the tank body while removing the other. Ground down an inexpensive wrench to thin profile.
