Only if the people driving them let the engines run while they do other things that don't require the truck engine to be on. It is as if it is hard to start or something. Glug-glug-glug-glug... forever! :(
FWIW to the OP - I personally have no issues with people arriving after dark, or even after quiet time (most places 10PM) as long as the setup is minimal which is what the OP is intending to do, and I commend that.
Providing that the truck is not blocking the road, and the trailer is more or less level then the fridge would work just fine and you can stay hooked up. Actually IMO this is the best reason to shoot for a level trailer when hooked up to the truck - so that staying hooked up for overnight stops - or late arrivals - is not an issue for the fridge. I have 3 slides and I would have to put out at least the wardrobe slide in order to be able to sleep comfortably but that does not take a long time and the Schwintek design is quiet enough.
