Shock recommendation

I guess I suck at the search feature. I tried best shocks and shock recommendation in the search feature and came up with 0 results. Anyhoo....I'm taking my truck into ORW next week and one of the items I'm having them check is the shocks. I believe they are 7100 series Bilsteins and I think they are shot. If I have to replace them I was hoping for a few recommendations. I had Rancho RS9000 adjustables on my stock F250 and thought they were great. Now I have an F350 dually 4x4 with a 4" lift. What have y'all put on and how do you like them? Thanks.
  • The lift is going to make it harder, but you can probably find Rancho 9000s for it. I had Rancho 9000s on my SRW and now have Bilstein 4600s on my F450 which I like a lot. The reason I went with Bilsteins is that I don't use my F450 as a daily driver although it rides great without the camper as well.
  • I like the Ranchos because I either run empty or loaded, and those are the only ones that can be properly adjusted for both conditions. The disadvantage is you have to crawl under the back to do it. The fronts can be left alone.
  • My truck is almost always hauling or towing something so I don't care about adjusting anything. I had Bilsteins on '07 Chevy SRW and they were good. When I put new shocks on my '05 Chevy dually I went with KYB Monomax. I like them even better than the Bilsteins.
  • Another KYB Monomax user here. HUGE improvement from stock. Can't speak for how they'll work with a lift.
  • I had KYB's that were 8 yrs old so I
replaced them with the Bilsteins I wish
I would have stuck with the KYB's
  • I love the adjustable Ranchos on my dually, but it is not raised.. I also don't take the camper off the truck much (once in 5 years), so I never really have to adjust them.

  • When I recently purchased my Rancho 9000s I saw they had listings for lifted applications.
