Thinking about adding a set of Bilstein 4600 schocks front and rear on my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. Looks like a good match for the truck. Might go through E-Shocks.com to order. Any suggestions ?

Just tossing out one other consideration for you, which is Rancho 9000’s. They are adjustable with a dial on each shock with 10 setting. I just change out all 4 on my Ram and was going to do the Bilsteins too. Since I have had Bilstein in the past and really liked them and they were way cheaper the Rancho. But after lurking around a bit I purchased the Rancho’s through Rock Auto and Rancho has a Rebate going on if you buy 4 shocks you get a $120 rebate. They were about the same price as Bilstein’s. I have only had them on for a couple months with the ride set on level 3. I am getting a way better ride, and so far happy with the choice. Also I found Rancho tech support to verify part numbers as fantastic to work with. I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice though.

I have had the adjustable and they work fine but once set I never touched them. The 4600's adjust to the conditions, just install and forget.

I put them on my 2006 silverado. what a difference in controlled ride..Ive used bilsteins on all my vehicles for over 25 years.I was turned off by ranchos when I had a few break on me at the mounting points..

Bilsteins on all my trucks - Standard yellow shocks - 5100's Put them on my 2004 and 2005 GM trucks. - replaced after delivery. 2011 at 20,000 miles, Suspension seemed better on the 2011.

I bought the Bilsteins for my 2004 F150 at Shock Warehouse. Recently put Bilsteins on my 2013 F150. Found a better price at Summit Racing. I really like the Bilsteins.

Bilsteins really shine when it comes big dips or bad road conditions. Its Bills for me .

Is your truck stock height or lifted up to 2" ?

Did much debating after coming here and got a set of 5100 Bilstein shocks. Got them from a Amazon for $322 and change. The 4600 shocks were $288 and change. Much improved over the OEM shocks.

I saw a video awhile back on a guy that put Fox Shox on his truck. You might want to try looking it up because their performance was impressive.

Well I have a set Bilstein 5100's on the TV, and a fresh set of Monroe 555001 shocks on the 5er and they are one smooth package!

I put Rancho 9000's on last summer for my truck camper and 5th wheel. I highly recommend them.

I really could not tell on compression between OEM and Bilstein.

Rebound was night and day difference. Huge!

The ride was really chattery when they first went on. After about 10K the Bills settled down and now ride and handle very nice!

I had new bilsteins shock installed on our 2005 3500 in February. I already had bilsteins that I installed on this truck at 12000 miles. same shock for the 2500 and 3500. I gave the original GM shock to my neighbor 2 weeks ago and they were larger than the shocks next to the bilsteins.

Look at the pic a few posts below of the bilsteins next to my stock shock..

The stock shocks on my silverado were a tow package upgrade..
( Really....LOLOL)

Now look at the bilstein next to it...

Enough said..
