If you read this thread carefully, you will read different shocks give a stiffer ride. How do we measure "stiffer" ride? I believe it comes down to a seat of the pants. Typically, with stiff shocks you feel the cement joints and road holes and such as a definite bump. Soft shocks typically has more of a soft bump, if any at all. When you hit a dip with the front axle, the front of your truck will dip down, then back up. It typically will go up and down a couple of times. The softer the shock, the quicker and more times it will go up and down.
Hi I have a 2016 GMC 3500 dully with stock shocks with 7000 miles along with timbrens
and 2016 10'2 northern-lite Would I notice a big difference in handling and ride if i put a new set of shocks on .
thanks
As with most things, it is a matter of personal preference. In this case a soft or stiff riding truck. If you installed a new set of shocks and they were stiff you would probability notice a big difference in the form of a stiff ride. If you are comfortable with the ride of your truck now, I would not change the shocks.
