Short beds work very well for everyday driving, especially if you have a true 4 door. I have that for my 09 GMC HD and love it. That being said, I also have an 69 C10 long bed, love that truck. Long bed so easy to load everything I need, especially kayaks when I hit the river. So both have there advantages. It's really up to you, drive both and see what is easier to live with day by day and which is easier for you to park. U will probably receive as many answers as when a someone ask: 4 wheel drive or 2... So be prepared to read through some good advice. Good luck on your decision !
