- AcdiiExplorerIs there something posted such as a HowTo for roof inspection and resealing? I know I would like to see one, I want my trailer to be leak free for as long as possible.

Wow, that's a horrible caulking job! I would redo that entire seam and probably the rest of the camper if it looks anything at all like those photos.
X2 That looks very sloppy.
Yes, it's a terrible job. Another reason to thoroughly inspect any RV you buy, new or used. - westendExplorer

- jaycocreekExplorer IIThey probably just patched it until they had time to do it right.I would put that chore at the top of my list for that trailer and some good weather. As far as leaks go,most trailers do at some point whether noticed or not.All the twisting/bending and bumpy roads will crack the best of seals and it's the little leaks(hair line) that get you.
I wouldn't be concerned except for the fact it needs a good reseal. Some people just patch what they can see, others re-do it all.. - coolbreeze01ExplorerI'd be concerned that it may have leaked at some point. As far as the sloppy caulking job, maybe it stopped the leak?

RV.Net Photo Upload - azrvingExplorerProbably not terrible but the second pic looks like they may not have cleaned it well before applying. Hopefully the new sealer is Dicor. New or used I would go over every inch of the roof. It's common to hear people say they have water damage on a 3 or 4 year old rig. It didn't just start happening in the 3rd or 4th year....it had been leaking from day one.
- darsben1ExplorerThat is a lot of goop
If I right clicked on the word image it gave me an option to view the image. - camp-n-familyExplorerImages aren't working.
Without seeing the pics I would say it depends. Any signs of leaks or delamination? Then I would be concerned. How old is the tt? The sealant should be checked every year and reapplied as required, so it could be normal. I added Eternabond to all my roof seals the day I bought it for extra protection.
