What a variety of responses! Started a real hard debate!
I am not interested in black smoke, only helping the engine out.
I wish one thing Ford would do is have a 9th injector in the exhaust like GM rather than kill a cylinder head and turbo with extremely high heat during regen.
My son has same truck but lifted with tires. avg MPG was 10-11 on "meter" went to 14-15 with his MPG setting on tuner, not power settings. Sorry, for the non believers we have identical trucks to compare except mine is none lift/tires. Keep in mind our speed limits here are 60mph. I average 18-22mpg total stock at highway speed
Its all about engine life, heat and wear even if I gain only 2 mpg mpgs and no DEF
