I do, no reason not to. and with the newer cruise controls, our's also works on downhills, so no need to hit the brakes to turn on the exhaust brake. just let cruise do it's job.
I turn it off when we hit roads with lots of curves that one needs to slow down for, other than that, it's cruise all the way.
