Shower Walls?

Bought a used camper. The shower has wallpaper for walls. It does have a fiberglass floor pan that is a few inches on the sides. Was the intent that the wallpaper get wet during a shower? I will have to hang a shower curtain over the door, but wondering if curtain needs to go 360 deg around. The ceiling has a 360 shower curtain ring, but maybe that is for pushing curtain out of the way.
I see other campers with showers that just have what looks like wall paper walls. It is more normal to have fiberglass walls, but I see both in different units.
I am wondering what mine was.
  • Ours is the same way, and when I first bought it I considered buying the surround. This was an expensive proposition and I never got around to it. 5 years of use and I've never had a problem.
  • My Warrior has the same wood/fiber board panels in the shower and everywhere else in the trailer. Should work fine for vacations and weekends, mine shows no evidence of damage after 9 years.
  • It was the cheapest way to build the shower. I would install panels on the walls and do it right.
