You may hear it 'cause it's not well noise-insulated from the pipes and floor. Mine's a bit noisy too, but haven't yet done anything about it.
Or, if it makes a real *big* racket the built-in backflow valve may be broken. If so, it will start filling up your fresh water tank when connected to city water. That's a good test for a faulty backflow valve. Outdoors RV sent me a new one under warranty when ours did that.
