Side entry - pros and cons?
I am thinking of a side entry for my next camper, right near the front. Mainly this is driven by floor plan, the only other major advantage I can think of is it will not get as dirty. I am worried...

With our camper, the passenger slide needs to be extended to access the kitchen. This would not allow steps being turned. We have had our slide extended over the top of the car adjacent to us while stowing food and drink away. The steps were usually beyond the back of the adjacent auto.
Our campsites have never posed challenges to stairs except where our portable platform is not enough to comfortably reach the factory steps making that first step a little taller.
