Thanks for the thoughts so far. A little thread drift is normal, no worries. But wardrobe space isn't an issue. To clarify a couple of things:
The side entrance would be towards the front on the curbside, this is floor plan driven. There are no stock campers even close to what I am contemplating, and it would be a from scratch build. A side door in that location requires a flatbed or something moving that direction at least, but the floor plan already requires the floor go out to the walls, meaning over the bed sills. The entrance door would be at basement camper height, so a lot of steps. There will be no slides. The camper box would be only 11' long, the same as my Bigfoot 10.4, a big but not super large camper. I want to keep the overall height to 11' or less as well. That makes it quite parkable at the supermarket or even downtown, but the steps might be an issue.
The motivation for this is to get a floor plan something like my 1988 Bigfoot 19' 5th wheel, of the seven RVs I have owned, this had the most livable arrangement for us, and in a pretty small package too. Secondary motivation is to have something better than the bottom shelf 'quality' for which RVs are justifiably infamous. It has been an idle threat as I doodled away on it for years, but the wife has given the go ahead so it may actually happen.
