Side entry - pros and cons?
I am thinking of a side entry for my next camper, right near the front. Mainly this is driven by floor plan, the only other major advantage I can think of is it will not get as dirty. I am worried...

Few years back I pulled to DOT check point on I80 in Vacaville, CA (the busiest freeway in CA). The check point had the "no pickups" sign so I went inside the office and ask "what is pickup?"
Took the guy about 10 minutes of flipping pages in fat books to come with the answer.
The law is having so many variations, that ask 3 DOT officers hard question and you will get 3 different answers.
