Why, pray tell, is the U.N. involved with this. I see them doing none of the work they were chartered for. IMO, they should be disbanded and the U.N. building demolished.
My thoughts exactly.
The UN is an absolute joke. On one hand, they make for new regulations regarding vehicle crash standards. On the other hand, they give forum for genocidal maniacs to spout their anti-world rhetoric. Screw the UN. I could care less whether the organization is disbanded or not, but the USA needs to get out completely. How can the UN even consider itself to be a legitimate organization when its member nations are at war with one another?
The UN is the Umbrella body, the organisation implementing standards is like a Global NHTSA.and trying to implement standardisation. As far as standards go, Countries have their own i e US . Even Australiian Standards differ from the Euro Standards, so standardisation a long way a way, too the chagrin of Ford and wanting to sell more of it's cars in Japan(No I cannot workout why Ford ,has an issue when others do not)
In your earlier statement you said Ford was in favour of this. Now you state they are not in favor. I can surmise why they would not be in favor of it. But at this point I am not clear what you think their position is on this.
