Thanks for all your kind comments. It really was a pleasant road trip. We have adjusted to TC-ing with small tanks and take advantage of every opportunity to tank up or dump the black. We shop like the French: just a couple days' meals at a time. I have cut way back on my coffee consumption and now drink only 8 cups a day (down from 16 cups). After several different attempts over the years in the TC at making coffee without electric power (Melita/instant/French press) I finally hit the jackpot with an old school, 8 cup Farberware, stove-top percolator. We always have propane available, so it's a natural. We press old Mr. Coffee, small, flat bottom paper filters into the basket making clean up a breeze. We have found it is actually cheaper to live and travel on the road with the TC than it is to run the household on the West Slope.
