silicone removal Yes/No?
Dicor was used around the door, but silicone was used around ALL the windows. I know because I have one of the tubes of caulk used. It was "DAP Window Door and Siding 100% waterproof 100% silicone" ...

Depending on which poster/weblink I believe, that is good news. I don't want to have to scrape all that 2-day-old silicone off if I can avoid it. However, I am not lazy, learning all too well that the easy way often winds up being the hardest expando project to fix.
I do have to go over the trim that runs along the outside bottom and up the corners, but will use Dicor there.
The reason Dicor was not used around the windows I am told is that you can't use painters tape with Dicor to control where the caulk goes and doesn't go. When you use Dicor and pull the tape off, all these gooey strings get pulled up and go all over the place. The silicone (apparently) "plays well" with painters tape so you can attempt to get a straight even edge (even though on most of the silicone applications there is a small ridge where the tape was pulled away).
