silicone removal Yes/No?
Dicor was used around the door, but silicone was used around ALL the windows. I know because I have one of the tubes of caulk used. It was "DAP Window Door and Siding 100% waterproof 100% silicone" ...

Perhaps the main reason to NOT use silicone is that since even silicone will not stick to silicone, if you get a leak, you have to dig out all the silicone and recaulk the whole window. If you use Dicor or other RV specific product, and you have a leak, you simply goob some more caulk over the area. With that knowledge in mind, the advice to not use silicone is sound.
Whether or not I'm going to dig out all the recently applied silicone around 4 of my windows will largely depend on what kind of internal vibe develops in the paranoia section of my cortex.
