That is actually really helpful. Thank you. I feel like the 1500 is the sweet spot where I'm not spending $10k extra on a truck that I don't "need" while also getting a truck that is plenty capable. I'm not stepping up in trailer size. It's too limiting for the type of camping we enjoy the most.
...And for the majority of the time I'm driving this truck to work. 18 mpg or so makes more sense than 10 mpg in a 2500 gasser.
I appreciate all the replies. Y'all have really helped me think through this logically.
