Follow up on Silverado 2017 LTZ shake in front end
1.) Went to Big "T" Tire in Avon Park this morning (They are the Tire Specialists in this area, used them before and they seem upfront, great customer service), got tires checked out.
2.) Result...no problem what so ever with the tires, the Tech took it out for a drive and said its not in the Tires definitely.
3.) So I called Alan J's the big Chevrolet dealer here in Sebring, as soon as I mentioned the shake, the fact Big "T" Tire checked it out they made an all day appointment for the truck for 8AM (Sharp) next Tuesday, December 4th with their Transmission Technician, given the Transmission Tech's name also, and drive back home here as its apparently an all day job.
So as far as I can tell it looks like a change of (I Think) the Torque Convertor.
And so far dealing with Big "T" Tire and Alan Jay's I give them great support.....might change but hope Alan'Js come thru....I have dealt with them before and was always pleased, so here's hoping.
BTW I have to go 100 miles this weekend to Orlando Airport to pick up my daughter, told the Alan J's rep I didn't know if it was safe or not, he said "Not to worry, it will get you there and back"
BTW, More importantly, I did find a GM Service Bulletin on this shake it is #PIP5337C and pretty well describes the issue but does put different specs on what it acts like, read it through if interested.
Link here #PIP5337C
Anyway will follow up here as this issue develops.... Ernie
