Here recently I was walking into my local Meijer (supermarket like Walmart). The front of the store faces west and has a very large and tall glass entrance (probably 2 if not 3 stories tall). It was late afternoon evening and the sun was almost aligned perfectly to the west of the entrance. As I walked through the parking lot there was a spot that I could feel a very noticable difference in the air temp and it was hot. This would be similar to the situation that carringb posted, but my experience was with a smaller building. Do you happen to park where something like this could be taking place?
