I was referring to when a spec sheet says "xy Feet" in length. Does that include the tongue or not?
MAYBE - RVJimofOregonExplorerMeasure twice and buy once as they say. I have known of several owners who believed the dealer and/or manufactures and the rig did not fit into the garage. One of our Chapter members had this happen just this spring.

I was referring to when a spec sheet says "xy Feet" in length. Does that include the tongue or not? - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIThere was a time that model numbers meant something and were fairly standard........sorta like 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton
Now a days
Could be outside length
Could be interior length
Could be square footage
Could be just a hold over from an old model line
SO..........MAYBE :B
Best to figure mfg. length does not include tongue length - MargaretBExplorerI feel a bit presumptuous responding here, given the multitude of questions I've posted. But in our experience, the hitch is not included. We learned very fast to carry a tape measure with us to measure the box and the hitch, so we'd know exactly what we were looking at. The "230" appended to the name of our trailer could mean box length - it didn't; it measured 22'4" - or square footage - who knows what that is. So just measure everything in sight.
- RustycamperpantExplorerMy length listed in the brochure includes the hitch. I did not realize this until I measured it myself for a cover.
- Dick_BExplorerMy RV measures 28 feet end to end.
- Passin_ThruExplorerSimple answer. NO! But then again I could be wrong. That is the way Arctic Fox measures theirs so a 21 ft is 24 ft actually.
