What year is it? BAL made a LOT of bad gearboxes in 2015, and the first sign of failure is the gears slipping, sometimes making a popping noise, usually in one direction. Sometimes a loud bang at the end of the travel. Go up and look over the wood facia at the center of the slide where the motor and gearbox are. The gearbox will have stickers with part number and serial number. If the serial number starts with 15... bingo.

My slide is "hesitating", (pausing?) at a regular pace as it goes out. This to me points to the motor/gearbox going bad.
Did any of your three make a repeating noise at regular intervals in just one direction but work great the other way? Mine works perfectly on the way in but seems like it slips on the way out.
