If it has been a month, are you plugged into shore power? Is it possible the battery has drained down enough that it won't operate the motor for the slide? Parasitic drain on my batteries will drain them in a month if I don't periodically plug in to charge. I know my slide runs much better on shore power unless the batteries have a full charge.
