My camper has the electric Lippert rack and pinion slide system. a flush floor slide setup. Couch and table and chairs slide. What used to be called a Super slide back 14 years ago...
The camper is 14 years old and has never leaked from the roof or seals area or got stuck out. And I have no slide topper on it.
I did have slide floor rot but that was a slide floor design issue.
You never stated what type of slide the stuck and leaking slide was. Not all slides and slide mechanisms to pull them in and out are the same.
We need more specifics than a broad brush all slides are bad when folks talk in general about failure issues.
