Slide out not sliding

Not sure what to troubleshoot on this. The slide-out is stuck out a few inches. It will not move in or out. I am on battery now and can't get electric to it. The battery has juice and the lights in the tt work. I checked the slide-out fuse and it is fine.
Any ideas for troubleshooting would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, just be careful about polarities. I have done it at times when I let the house battery get too low to power the slides and I did not want to wait for the battery to charge.

  • if you need more power connect the tow vehicle if you haven't already, that should help a little. Can you "lift" the slide while the SO pushes the button - thinking maybe the slide is pinching somehow? That helps ours extend the last couple of inches.
  • We are beginners, so take this for what it is worth. Last month, we had to use the "crank" to work the slide. We had lights on battery AND the pedestal electric, but NO slide. My brother told me the battery works as a capacitator???? And would have to have sufficient strength to run the slide.

All I can say is after purchasing a new, deep cycle battery, we have had no trouble with the slide at all.

    Hope this helps!
  • Thanks Jim. Seems like I need some electric. Appreciate it.
