Slide topper is dry rotted and needs to be replaced

Question

Anyone had to replace the slide topper due to wearing out?
Mine is 9 years old and on our return trip home today it shredded up from highway travel. I did notice recently the material was starting to break up.
Any thoughts on replacing the material? Do I contact carefree for replacement material or another source?

Do a omline search.  There are several companies advertising there with decent prices.  Changing fabric is pretty easy long slides usually goes easier with a helper.

I was on You tube one day and was watching the RVGeeks and they tell you a place in Vancouver Wa you can order from for much less than a Rv dealers price and fabric is better. they also have videos on how to replace the topper and how to measure and order. it is easy to do but it is best if you have help

I had mine replaced by my local RV service shop. I think it was around $170 but not sure.

We did it a couple years ago. Got new material from an online place. Took about 1/2 hr with 2 of us and 2 ladders.If we had it to do again, it would probably take 15min. It's pretty simple.
