Small Trailer Recommendations

I'm looking at used really small camping trailers and want to be sure I'm searching for every option available. By small I mean 14' maximum. I'm not interested in a fold out unless it had solid sides like the Aliner/Chalet.

There are always the older small trailers, but I'm really not interested in those since they look so dated.

On my search list so far:

-Casita
-Scamp
-Fun Finder
-Aliner
-Chalet

What other models should I be considering?

  • The small fiberglass (eggs) hold their value the best. There are others beside the Scamp and Casita.
  • Check out the Amerilite here:

    Amerilite 14RBC

You could leave the dinette made up as a bed, and still have a place to sit, since there is a sofa.

I was a partner in an Amerilite trailer for a few years. They are entry level RVs, so far as features & decor, but reasonable quality. And the fewer bells & whistles you have, the less there is to go wrong.
  • We took a hard look at A-liner but decided that we needed three things,
    1. A pantry to keep stocked all season.
    2. A closet to keep our camping cloths in.
    3. A bed that we could get out of without crawling over your spouse.

Basically that meant a TT not a PUP. I like the Scamp and Casita but they were not big enough for the type of RVing we wished to do.
