We're in the early stages of getting a 1/2 ton towable trailer. I have a F150 without the heavy duty tow package. I added a factory transmission cooler, I figure I'm at about 5000, and 500 tongue weight. In the past we've owned two different pick up campers, one with hot water, black and grey holding tanks, wet bathroom and 3 way fridge, the other with portapotti, a sink drain to a bucket outside, and no hot water tank, neither had a microwave. The one feature we really want is an oven. So far the only light weight trailer we've with an oven is the Jayco 16V....

You can always go for a Coleman folding oven. Not as good as a built in oven, but better than none if you want one.

Any dealers in your area that sell Rockwood Mini-Lites or their Flagstaff equivalents? Some of those are pretty small, but can come with an oven.

It seems to me that if you're buying new, you might be able to specify an oven. Probably just a matter of losing whatever cupboard space is usually under the cooktop.

We use our built-in oven for storage and our toaster oven and microwave for cooking.

My coach has a combination microwave/convection oven which works very well. The only drawback is that you have to be plugged into shore power or running on generator to use it.

How about a Winnebago Minnie. Seem to have very good owner reviews. The 1801FB has a dry weight of 3300lbs. Hitch weight of 340lbs. The 2101DS would also meet your weight requirements.

I've owned our Winnebago Lite Five 5th wheel for a year now and love it. Zero problems so far. Very well built.

This is why we wanted a trailer with an oven :) A lot of the places we'll be camping don't have hookups so can't use electric oven and both of the truck campers we had in the past had ovens. By the way, I did the pushbutton sparker mod for the burners, but I service gas furnaces and fireplaces for a living and it just seemed too much like work to get the electrode in the correct spot to lite the oven pilot light.

My small trailer didn't have an oven when I looked at it at the dealer. They removed a storage door below the cooktop and installed an oven. The spot was made for the oven or extra storage.

Why not remove a cooktop and install a range? It may just be a case of removing a cabinet door below a cooktop and doing whatever minor modifications are needed to fit a range. Our first TT (20') had a cooktop and could have accomodated a range. You may be able to negotiate the upgrade with a dealer as part of the initial purchase. Maybe it'd be a case of finding the right dealer willing to do it.

I wouldn't have a trailer without a oven, we use ours every trip. It is wonderful on those cold rainy days where I'll fire it up in the morning and we will use it all day.

Keystone Express 199ML dry wt 3651... We are shopping for a Keystone 238ML, dry wt 3711 with oven, tongue wt 495... we plan to tow this with a Ford F-150, 4.6 and fact trans cooler...

We are with Westend. We usually make calzones, mand biscuits or cornbread on every trip. Our TT is a 2005 Keystone Cougar and we use the oven. We did a complete Thanksgiving dinner in the trailer one year . How could you not have pumpkin pie?
