smell in camper

Leave the slide out at home and let the top air out.

No awning over slide and yes the smell gets inside camper when slides are in whether traveling or parked at home. I am going to try and call locall keystone dealer and see if they have had any similar complaints. It has always had smell, it is not something new, and the wife says she cant smell it

Do you have a slide awning?? Maybe some funky stuff on the seals?? You might try an appropriate cleaner. Does the smell come inside the trailer or just outside? If you have a slide awning, you may want to try a good cleaning on both sides - reaching the underside of that awning is a challenge, but something like a soft long-handled car wash brush should help. BTW, when you rinse, especially the underside of the awning, use as gentle a spray as possible so it doesn't seep inside and allow to dry thoroughly.

No, is has dinette and sofa, camper is a keystone premier 31bhpr. I am wondering if the roof material is glued down and it is from the glue.

Is there any plumbing in your slide (kitchen sink, fridge, etc)?

camper is a 2012, I have been trying to think of how to describe the smell, i would say a toilet/chemical smell, i thought it was from the black tank but after this past weekend I dumped tanks and then filled and dumped 2 more times to flush out, added water but no chemical, got home and smell was in camper.

What kind of smell? re: Damp / Mould smell? Chemical / glue drying smell? Motor burning smell? Toilet smell?

Also… How new (old) is your camper? Like homes,. some "new" campers smell weird for many years. Most often, its the glue drying type smells.

Kinda hard to give ideas to get rid of the smell without a description of it- what does it smell like?
