- BuckBarkerExplorerPerhaps your shoes or your wife's purse is shedding.
- TxTigerExplorerWe had a rat snake in the hall about two weeks ago at our house. It was at night and I'm sure glad my wife saw it. I gave her some BBQ tongs and a bucket and said keep that thing away from me. She put it in the bucket and took it outside.
- mockturtleExplorer IIIt would be my guess that the fragments got tracked in from outside.
- dadmomhExplorerSheesh!, I wish you hadn't posted this! We have a pond and live in the south which = copperheads.
- Francesca_KnowlExplorerI've heard that sticky traps will work if you want to catch-and-release snakes that have gotten in...but the "release" part might be sorta tricky.
- popeyemthExplorerSometimes snakes come in to get warm after a cold night or to cool off in hot weather.
Sometimes they hitch a ride :) - dodge_guyExplorer IIMaybe you have a whole family of them living in the trailer. could be in the walls, under the bed or in the black tank!
They could be anywhere!!!! :h :E - RoyBExplorer IIThe snake will follow the mice into the trailer... Maybe he has eaten all of the mice already...
We did that once by sprinkling down flour on the vinyl floor to see where the mice was coming from...
The next morning we saw snake tracks and mice tracks in the flour---- Not good hehe...
Roy Ken - popeyemthExplorerWhen my kids were young the middle child - who shall not be named- (Jeff :) ) packed a black snake into the house .
His mother screamed,he dropped the snake, which promptly went down a floor vent (concrete slab construction ).
I simply shut off all the vents but the one it went down, turned the furnace as high as it would go, opened the windows so we wouldn't die from the heat ( it was summer) and waited.
In just a few minutes after the furnace got hot out came the snake.
High fives to the son, dinner out for the mom.
Good Luck, Mike - fallsriderExplorer

And naming it Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. (Google it if you're not familiar with the story)
I know, your thinking of getting a Mongoose.
It would not be fun looking for a snake in a rig. There are SO many places to hide. Hopefully, it is not that. But you don't want mice, either!
