We are right in the middle of your storm this morning. So far it looks like over a foot and more coming down. I'll head out tomorrow and clean up four neighborhood driveways (all are retired folks who do not need/want to drive on the bad roads) The forecast is for another 6-8" for Saturday night into Sunday so the ground will be white for a while longer. The advantage of living in the north where we get a lot of snow is that they are prepared and know how to handle it. A two foot storm and the roads are easily passable withing literally hours after it is over and life gets back to normal. Ice, well, that is another story! As Hedge said we too miss out on earthquakes, tornadoes, major flooding and all but the tail end of hurricanes. The winters are long BUT the summers are much more bearable than the high humidity and 90*+ temps. I'll take the snow anytime!!!
