So long but, not goodbye...

As of this afternoon I am without TC for the first time in several years as I sold the Arrow.

Since I purchased a fixer-upper house some five years ago my weekends are spent renovating instead of camping. It got to be that I was only using the camper once a year for hunting. It was not worth it to me to keep maintaining, storing, insuring it for so little use. I do not envision another TC/ RV in the near future.

Since 2005 I have owned 2 pop-ups and 2 hardsides... all of the NorthStar brand. Prior to that I was camping in a Wildernest pop-over cap. I will still lurk around here (RV.net is sort of a daily addiction) and will add any relevant input where appropriate based on my experiences.

A gentleman and his wife with a 7 and 4 year old are now the new proud owners. The TC looked good on his truck!

Bittersweet day.

  • Same yet different here.

Last year we changed over from a TC to a 28' 5th wheel but now I find myself monitoring both this forum and the 5th wheel chatter.

Nice to stay in touch with the TC folks.
  • I hear ya. We've only been able to use ours a couple times a year lately. However, after having one, I don't think I could not have one, if even only used occasionally. It gives me something to tinker on in my spare time. Plus, just knowing I can, when the opportunity comes up, load it up and go. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck.
  • Appreciate the kind words... especially because Wednesday was not a good day for me. Not only because I sold the camper but moreover, the SHTF at work and bossman was not happy.

Yes,I am TC-less, but will stick around here although not quite as active... I will try to lend a hand where I can and perhaps interject a lil' humor whenever possible.
  • Hey Frank! So sad to see another of one of the older forum members walking slowly away. Your input to me has provided the success I have had for 10 years of fulltiming, in a truck camper. You and Brian were one of the first to respond to a new guy, getting started.

Send me a PM so we can ensure we have the necessary contact information to stay in touch.

Safe travels, always, until our paths cross once more.

    Your fan for life.

  • Thanks for all your input. We all have to do what we have to do, see you in the near future.
  • Frank...say it ‘ain’t so?!

No biggie just another page to turn. Good luck with the house.

You’ll have another TC someday soon.

    Rock on bro
