Using a stock 2013 Duramax with 3.73' pulling a 6000 pound rig I normally get 11-12mpg. On real bad days in nothing but curvy up hills I drop to 9mpg. In a head wind 9mpg. On straight flat with a tail wind 13mpg Nearly all my towing is done @ 65-70 mpg.
